Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the technical assessment of third-party works submitted for approval. You will also be responsible for the effective design of a portfolio of highway related works. With the current boom in housing development in Cheshire East and the extension of HS2 into Cheshire there is an increasing demand for approving a wide range of highway related infrastructure. Undertake feasibility and design work on a wide range of highways and civil engineering schemes using existing best practice, guidance and within the current legislative framework. Analyse engineering problems, apply technical expertise and engineering judgement and produce solutions to meet legal and management objectives. HNC in Civil Engineering is desirable. Membership of a relevant and professional institution at Eng Tech level or actively work towards IEng level is desirable. Ability to produce 2D engineering designs using Autocad is essential. Ability to use MS packages- Word, Excel and outlook is essential. A current driving license is essential for this role.
